Remember LAC never really had control of the Halloween night, if they did have control, we would not be here writing about this. It is LAC's fault or the CRC's fault, it is the few who caused the problems, and those who allowed to get out of hand. I will go this year, for I truly beleive it will be better and more fun, for the stupid people will be watched closly by everyone.

I beleive the police will havve a grater presence on that night, The LAC only was to provide 2 extra security offices (off duty police). The county will now have to step up. I beleive there will be more police and the business will have to be more reposible in serving booze and so will ABC Store and Whaler. I honestly beleive it will be safer, saer and more fun. If it is not: then there may be no next year.

IT NEEDS TO BE CONTROLLED! .... Or Believe me people will still come and it will be way worse!!! Can You imagine the effects of less Police presence, less orderly control? GOSH ARE THEY CRAZY?! Where were these people years ago when the event was just getting started, How are you gonna Grumble Now? .... I am LOCAL but I have COMMON SENSE...further you beliefs in OTHER, productive ways!

Fact: not all CRC members are Hawaiian. When Johah Kapu was on the CRC the permits were approved.

Urinating on sacred ground, vomiting in the streets and leaving a TON of Trash on front street, does not represent culture, even you will agree with that (I hope)

Lahaina Town Action Commitee does advertise for the business community to bring people to Lahaina for Halloween, they do pay for Porti Potties and clean up. That is why they need a permit. To advertise the event. Without the LAC having the permitt the county will have to provide the Toilets ect. The Police will still block off the road and moniter the reveleers. It actually should be alot more fun with a few less people and the county will have more control over the event that was getting way out of hand under LAC.

That's because LAC did not really control the event, if they did we would not be having this comment. I think this will be the best Halloween Yet.

....a blatantly predjudiced decision. The name of the CRC should be changed to the "Hawaiians ONLY" committee with Jonah Kapu as the head intimidator. The CRC should be eliminated if they cannot represent all cultures!

I guess you haven't been to recent ones. It's not just the young folk.

I always knew this would some day come to an end. I really don't like this Halloween thing in the first place, it is a promotion for our younger generation to smoke, drink and be crazy, I don't see this impacting the hawaiian culture, except there must be another planet where this can happen.
