I want to be at this convention, it will be done no matter what we say... We just have to be part of the say... We are living in a corrupt greedy system that was and is illegally making rules and laws that was done by forefathers of the white greedy business men and you know who you are. New honest leaders need to come foward to say what is right (PONO) and best for the next generations to come. We are in a new generation system of technology, families and our resources is calling and hoping for something better, we cannot live in the old, we have to begin with the new. Like my Great Grandmama, Queen Lili'uokalani, made a decision to make things right by producing a new constitution; one that would take power away from the greedy white man, whom was running this country illegally and retore it by the the Kanaka Maoli's...

I agree with poholopu. I'm betting they'll package the changes and give us a yes-no vote on the whole package. They'll throw in stuff for special interests and get enough votes to pass their poison pills as a package deal. Our Constitution is a good one. Simple. Protects our rights. See www dot hiconcon dot org. There's a link to our constitution at the top of the page. Interesting reading since it is written in plain English and is easy to understand. I notice that Ed Case's and Peter Kay's pro-ConCon site is filled with all this vague feel-good stuff (impossible to achieve by a constitutional change) but the only real proposals put forward sound very, very bad to me.

We are pretty much living in a Socialist State now. The State controls our Health Care, the Stae controls our schools both of which are terrible, and we are the 4th highest taxed state in the Union. Our elected representatives or at least those in office now, ignore our needs and our wishes Yeah I can see why you wouldn't want to change that.

I agree with poholopu. Once a convention is opened, there is no way to limit what changes will be discussed. Any proposed changes have to be approved by the voters, but interested parties can buy the media exposure needed to confuse the issues.

I am voting NO. Voting yes will only open up ways for more abuse of the system.
