BEREA, Ohio - Baldwin High School graduate JoJo Dickson was one of nine players waived by the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The 23-year-old linebacker had signed with Cleveland on May 14 and played in three preseason games, recording one tackle.

"I've said it numerous times that this is a tough time of year for a coach because you develop a relationship with the players, they compete extremely hard for you and you've got to make tough decisions and let guys go," Browns coach Pat Shurmur said in a news conference posted on the team's website.
