Meet the candidate event for Fukuyama
LAHAINA - Alan Fukuyama, who is seeking the Maui County Council's Kahului residency seat, will hold a "Meet The Candidate Night" from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lahaina Intermediate School cafeteria.
The free event is billed as a talk-story session to discuss current issues. Food will be provided. For more information, call 357-4566.

Hannemann to host ohana night benefit
WAIKAPU - Mufi Hannemann, who is running for the 2nd Congressional District seat that includes Maui County, will hold an Ohana Night Fundraiser 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Maui Tropical Plantation.
A chili and rice dinner will be served. There will be jumping castles for children and door prizes.
A suggested donation of $10 is requested but not required. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information, call (808) 359-1616.
