Catching up with Matt Carroll . . . and Tom Brady

Matt Carroll was one of the most talented journalists I have ever had the pleasure to work with in his time — way too short, btw — here at The Maui News.

His undying love of the Ohio State Buckeyes was clearly misguided, but other than that he was a great guy who knows what he is doing.

His home of Boston beckoned when he decided to leave the Valley Isle a little more than a year ago, but his journalistic talents are not going to waste. He is working for The Associated Press sports desk in Boston and he recently penned this piece on some guy named Tom Brady.

Trust me, Matt is missed here in a large way, but his talent continues to shine through. Brightly.
